In 2011, as part of my research into the theatre of José de Almada Negreiros, I had the opportunity to talk to Fernanda Lapa, Maria do Céu Guerra and Vítor Silva Tavares about the show Wanted Woman, which premiered on 26 November 1963 at the Casa da Comédia, directed by Fernando Amado.

Fernanda Lapa and Maria do Céu Guerra were part of the cast as actresses, and this was their first major theatre project. Vítor Silva Tavares was responsible for the set design, costumes and props, as well as the programme for the show. Wanted Woman was an opportunity for everyone to take part in theatre of a poetic nature, different from what was being done at the time.

These conversations, which are unique testimonies of those who knew Almada Negreiros and participated actively in the show, are transcribed here.
