Intersect. Poems
The flagstaff of my inner dreams just meagrenesses on the void air
And their flagnessness is an oppressive presence…
The thought of the absent flags stands clearer in my thought – a despair
Empty flagstaffs in its essence.
† giving with no-flags to-day the staff stand
And name my thought of the flags thy name not get
Over my vague notion of the made statal of this land
Up to a distance for me where I stand in thought
And see myself thought-small stand…
O the plurality of flagstaff flaglessly compared
With the Other flagstaff that have ever flag within me
Great parallel steaks of wideness in the very thought-flag-filled air
The other flags – the flags that are visible thoughts and stare
Their new wholly concerned and explained flagging in the air
Of my idea of my soul’s eternity…
O the gay of the flagstaff calm as I do not see it there!
