No form of our seeing
Of body or mind…
The edge of its being
Doth Soul |selfness| into
Man, bust, sea and meadow…
God is not its body
The world that God’s shadow
__________
Not higher, not inward
But being ward, we go
My soul and myself
Some duality I know
But as mine… But it grows now
Less dread |unity|
And I loss the sense of me
In full sense of me.
I name me with all things
In thinner real absurd
Of essence. I see…
I am God’s… I am God
[15v]
2.
{…} things that seem…
God’s but one last dream…
__________
{…} around me still clings
Yet somewhere without me
As a snake round me curled –
Like a dream of remembering.
The thought of the world.

But in span, though aside – travelling
We find but men span,
And in spirit, though high-flying,
But spirit we trace,
In God as we think him
And as him then I knew a real a dream true
But here we find newness
Vein is everywhere
Yet newness came anew,
Then may we dare
Dream of as a real
Dreamed figment of dream.
