Apollo unto Neptune.

Apollo unto Neptune said:

     “Come, I shall drink the sea!”

But Neptune laughed out like a lad

     In his boyish jollity,

And cried: “You would drink the earth, if you could,

     And infinity.”

And the poet the symbol who understood

     Felt his misery.
