Somewhere where I shall never live
A palace garden showers[1]…
Its presence on the thoughts I grieve[2]…
There along[3] walks immemorial,
Great antenatal flowers
My lost life, before God, recall…
There I was happy and the child
That had cool shadows
Wherein to feel sweet, exiled…
They took all these true things away…
Time’s now meadows…
|Now it is always to-day|[4]
