It is probable, almost logical, that the lower instincts and faculties be located, physiognomically, in the jaw, mouth, breadth of nose, cheeks – in fine, in all features which we find in the negro.

Those which are due to the higher development of man’s nature are perforce situated:

In the height of the nose.

In the prominence of the chin.

In the thinness of the nose.

In the thinness of the lips.

In the smallness of the mouth.
