The world was at an end. The stars had faded from the sky and the moon was not and the sun had gone out as a lamp that is shattered. And darkness and horror were on all things, and ought had crept into the world that was not in the world before. And the elements roared and shrieked
The flowers and the plants and trees died and cold rock remained and men colder then the rocks.
