Final Causes.

God for the walking made the foot

     And for the foot the sock

He for the stocking made the boot

God made the grass for beast to eat

     And beast for man’s own eating

God made the walking for the feet

     The mother for the bleating

For words and nature God made things

And the whole world for priests and Kings.

For the child’s Mama sweetly aid

     God kindly made the mother

He made the sleeper for the bed

     The botherer for the bother

The sun for the earth, prayers for sings

And the whole world etc

     And famine for starving

For all that’s good and fair in things

The lasting curse of priests and kings.

For states the prison and the rape

     For men their own undoing

God made the father for the child.
