[BNP/E3, 13 – 6]
SONG OF PROSPERO.
1.
My broken rod shall underground
For ever buried be;
Deeper than e’er did plummet sound
My book I’ll sink in the sea:
Prospero’s charms are fled,
Magic and art are dead,
Dead and sunk in the hollow sea.
_______
2.
The joyous spirits of the air
No more are bound to me
Light and good and fresh and fair
Sunk are in the hollow sea.
Though that time naught strife again
Yet oh for that life again
Sunk for e’er in the hollow sea.
