Programme for the show Wanted Woman, first performed at the Casa da Comédia on 26 November 1963.

The text had been published in its entirety in 1959 and, given its character as "modern theatre, symbolic theatre", it fitted in perfectly with the objectives of the Casa da Comédia - the dissemination of contemporary dramaturgy.

This programme includes a text by Fernando Amado, a list of the performers and, on the last page, a testimonial by Almada, with Garcia Lorca's commentary on the play.

Maria do Céu Guerra's oral testimony (which can be read in full on the side tab) confirms that, before the premiere, there was a rehearsal open to the public that was attended by the censor:

There was a censorship rehearsal, but there was no cut. They were there, but as far as I remember, nothing happened.

The actress, who is making her stage debut with this play, also comments on the political and cultural context:

The Casa da Comédia was not a place of political resistance. Dr Fernando Amado was a democratic monarchist. He belonged to a group, but he wasn't persecuted. Neither was Almada. The Casa da Comédia didn't experience the kind of upheavals that happened in other places: like the Teatro Moderno, the Teatro Estúdio in Lisbon, the Teatro Experimental in Oporto and, for a while, the Teatro Experimental in Cascais.
