It is my real, sincere hope – one of the intimate high hopes of my better life – that no Creator will so cruel as to deny Mr. Pickwick, and Sam Weller, and all of them, the charity to our hearts[1] of the real existence somewhere where our timeless days may also be. I have forgotten true tears at Dingley Dell and the fame I can even see. |*Broken on| beyond decent sentimental telling.

And often, when I have thought of never thinking more I have been wakened from Hell by those three great cheers Mr. Weller |*seemed| gave for Mr. Pickwick, which are the grand expression of all Christian civilization.

É a minha esperança real e sincera - uma das maiores esperanças íntimas de minha vida melhor - que nenhum Criador seja tão cruel ao ponto de negar ao Sr. Pickwick, a Sam Weller e a todos eles, a caridade para os nossos corações da existência real em algum lugar onde também possam estar os nossos dias eternos. Tenho esquecido verdadeiras lágrimas para com Dingley Dell e a fama que até posso ver. |*Interrompidas| além de uma narrativa sentimental decente.

E muitas vezes, quando penso em nunca mais pensar, tenho sido acordado do Inferno por aqueles três grandes vivas que o Sr. Weller |*parecia| ter dado ao Sr. Pickwick, que são a grande expressão de toda a civilização cristã.
