Poetry is imaginative pure (epic, dramatic, elegiac, lyric).

Descriptive poetry is not imaginative scient[if]ic, because it is not a description of things seen, but of the imaginative impression of such things. A description of things seen is not poetry, but, in verse, is horror.

That is to say, the interpretation must be imaginative, anterior to the vision in idea, however posterior in time.

I may mention that there is, properly speaking, no descriptive poetry. Descriptive poetry occurs in a poem in a passage – it does not form the “plot” of the poem.

A poesia descritiva não é científica imaginativa, porque não é uma descrição das coisas vistas, mas da impressão imaginativa de tais coisas. Uma descrição das coisas vistas não é poesia, mas, em verso, é horror.

Ou seja, a interpretação deve ser imaginativa, anterior à visão em ideia, porém posterior no tempo. 

Posso mencionar que não há, propriamente falando, poesia descritiva. A poesia descritiva ocorre num poema em uma passagem – ela não forma o “enredo” do poema.
