Shakespeare and Victor Hugo are the master-sinners. Shakespeare, to speak true, is the worst. He misbehaves himself in the space of a short lyric to a quite German extent.[1] He is unable to keep still, like a naughty child, which, after all, was what he was among the gods.

Shakespeare e Victor Hugo são os mestres do pecado. Shakespeare, para falar a verdade, é o pior. Ele comporta-se mal no espaço de um breve poema lírico em uma extensão bastante alemã. Ele não consegue ficar quieto, como uma criança travessa, que, afinal, era o que ele era entre os deuses.
