Almada Negreiros and Sarah Affonso
The Virtual Archive began with two important estates: that of Almada Negreiros (1893-1970), a multifaceted writer and visual artist, and that of Sarah Affonso (1899-1983), his wife, a notable figure in modernist painting. This joint estate Includes literary manuscripts, photographs, letters, documents and visual works, and is now deposited at the Almada Negreiros Sarah Affonso Study and Documentation Center (CEDANSA - NOVA FCSH).
